Miss Mary Mack had fourteen dogs & she gave one away.

Camp, Camp, Camp. I LOVE CAMP. So, a few days ago I just came back from one of the best places ever. I love this place so much I would leave my house and come live there. After being away for a year I have finally came back to the mountain. After a nice pit stop at a Chic-fil-a and losing cell service as I neared camp, I was so excited to see everyone again. I got my bags from the car, a duffle bag, a huge rolling bag, a backpack, a tote bag, and two pillows, my dad and I went to the pavilion to do all the "First Day of Camp Procedures". To my surprise, my best friend, Abby wasn't there yet and I was anxiously awaiting her arrival. In the meantime, I saw my other camp best friend, Lexa, who unfortunately had aged out of camp and could not attend this year. I lugged my things to Cabin Four with McSarah (one of the best counselors ever). Since I was the first camper to arrive, I got to choose my bunk with a full selection of lovely beds. I choose a corner top bunk near the window. As I kept checking if Abby had arrived yet but, no sign of her. I unpacked a few of my things and checked for Abby again. This time, I saw her mother's car rolling up the drive way! I ran to the car and greeted Abby, her mother, and Jake very swiftly. I took one of Abby's bags and ran it to the cabin so Abby could get a top bunk! I said good-bye to my dad and continued on with unpacking things and making my bunk. As the day progressed, we got our sketch books and choose our cabin name! Since it was ART CAMP, everyone choose a artsy name, but our cabin choose.. CABIN INTENSE! but to be pronounced as CABIN IN-TENTS!
The day came to an end and it was time for bed! Everyday was amazing and the counselors we FANTABULOUS.
Best counselors ever! Kevin, Jenni, Hannah, Isaac (Isakiki), & McSarah!

The most memorable day of camp would have to be Thursday. Thursday afternoon the "Flyers" took a camping trip at Seven Springs. The afternoon started with the "Flyers" packing their trash bag full of the necessities, clothes, socks, etc. We packed our trash bag and then we got a legit hiking pack bag. After the packs were packed we started the thirty minute hike to Seven Springs. Once we arrived at seven springs we had to set up "camp". Camp as in our tarps. Yes, we slept on tarps on the ground with nothing surrounding us but the woods. After camp was set up we headed to the Spring! The spring is so cold you could feel it even before you got in! After swimming, we filled our water bottles up and had dinner, hotdogs, veggie dogs, hummus, carrots, celery, and granola bars! Then we played games such as Habitat and The Knot Game. After fun and games it was time for worship. During worship the cutest little toad hopped onto a rock near the fire circle. Then all of a sudden.. IT COMMITTED SUICIDE AND JUMPED INTO THE FIRE. Everyone was in utter shock and couldn't believe what happened. McSarah of course, tried saving "fire toad" but her efforts were not good enough. Fire toad passed away during our worship, it was quite tragic. Then we all went to the bathroom because it looked like it was going to rain. AND WE WERE RIGHT. Right as we returned from the bathroom (the woods), it started raining. Everyone ran for cover under their tarp or tent (if you were a counselor). Everything was going wrong, everyones things were getting wet, people were grumpy, and IT WAS RAINING. Soon, the rain lightened up and everyone got out of their tarp and had a little dance/singing party until about 10:30pm. When we were sent back to our tarps at 10:30 or so, IT STARTED POURING DOWN RAIN EVEN HARDER. Six out of the seven of us stayed up and talked until... IT STARTED THUNDERING AND LIGHTENING. Then, we woke up Briana, a loving girl in our cabin who isn't afraid of ANYTHING. She comforted us as we were scared to death. Briana went to the counselors tent, where she was able to get us in their tent for an hour as we wait out the storm. As the comfort of the counselors tent was subsiding, they sent us back to our tarps. But to our confusion, it was raining even harder than it was when we first came to their tent. We walked back to the tarp in the pouring rain. To my lovely surprise, my sleeping bag was soaked. I had no choice but to use it as a mattress sort of thing. I slept on top of my wet sleeping bag and used Haley's wet towel as a blanket. I slept for one hour, then I woke up nearly crying because I was so cold. All I can say is, it was a night I will NEVER FORGET.
Saturday was the talent show!! My friends, Abby and Jamie and I sang this song:
Miss Mary Mack had fourteen dogs and she gave one away
We spoke in British accents to make it feel BETTER!
The dogs' name was Jake!
Everytime we sang that song, we would all end up laughing like crazy! Camp was great this year and our counselors were the best! I am so sad that I can't come back next year! I love you Cabin Intents and I will miss you all so much!
